Welcome to Department of Commerce and Management
The inception
of Commerce Department at St. Joseph’s College, Langford Road dates back to
1949. In 1972, Commerce department of St. Joseph’s College became an
independent college under the name St. Joseph’s College of Commerce located at
Brigade Road, Bangalore. Growing demand for quality business education and
aspiration of students’ community to join St. Joseph’s institution persuaded
the management of the college to restart commerce department at St. Joseph’s
College in the year 2015.
Since its
recommencement, Commerce Department has continuously evolved offering diverse
programmes in the field of business studies. The Department aims at a holistic
and integral formation of its students, fostering in them a spirit of academic
excellence, character formation and social concern, shaping them to become “men
and women” for others. The department strives to equip in its students’ skills
required to face the challenges of dynamic business world.
