Programmes



B.Com (General) focuses on developing proficiency in commerce subjects with an option to specialize in either Accounting & Taxation, Banking & Insurance, Marketing or Finance. The programme facilitates students to pursue higher education in Management/Commerce and also in pursuing professional qualification.

The course structures and syllabus are constantly reviewed and updated, keeping in view the macro-level developments in the economy as well as student requirements.
Duration: 3 years (6 semesters).

B.Com (International Accounting) curriculum is embedded with ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, UK) and our students study these globally recognised subjects of ACCA as part of the syllabus. Hence, any student who joins our B.Com (International Accounting) programme is eligible to enroll for ACCA. Since we have incorporated the ACCA subjects into our curriculum, our students enjoy subject exemptions from ACCA as well. Currently, a B.Com (International Accounting) students of SJC get exemptions for the first 6 papers of ACCA (F1 to F6) and they can start preparing for F7 onwards of ACCA.
Duration: 3 years (6 semesters).

B.Com (Business Process Services) curriculum is designed in collaboration with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). Student study one course in each semester designed by TCS, these subjects are delivered by faculties who are trained and certified by TCS. The programme aims at developing professionals to meet the Industry requirements in India and Abroad. Upon successful completion of the course TCS offers placement assistance to students depending on the performance in the interview.
Duration: 3 years (6 semesters).

BBA (General) The Programme is designed to provide a basic understanding of Management education and to train the students in communication skills effectively and inculcate entrepreneurship skills and decision making capabilities. The Programme also includes practical exposure in the form of case studies, projects, presentations, industrial visits and interaction with experts from the industry.
Duration: 3 years (6 semesters).

BBA (Strategic Finance) The Programme integrates a bachelors programme in Business Administration with the globally recognized Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification offered by the Institute of Certified Management Accountants (ICMA), the certification division of IMA, USA. On successful completion of the programme, students will get the BBA degree through St. Joseph’s College and CMA certification will be awarded by ICMA on fulfilment of educational requirement and professional requirement. This unique programme is designed to familiarize students with the finance decision-making process and working of financial markets.

M.Com degree provides theoretical and practical inputs to students on the assorted courses in commerce, finance, taxation and accounting. The programme is designed to provide the basis for developing the skills necessary to face the challenges of job market, the course structure supports the process of competency building of the students in attaining success in NET/SET and other competitive examinations. As a part of curriculum students will be required to prepare the Project Report based on the field work and studying the current trends under the guidance of Project Guide. M.Com programmes offers broad range of career opportunities, Students can enter corporate world, become entrepreneurs or take up teaching profession.
Duration: 2 years (4 semesters).
