BUSINESS BUZZ [ANALYSIS OF NEWS AND EVENTS]
To keep students abreast of all the news and events happening in India and Globally and to examine the impact of these news and events on business, students in groups are required to present analysis of current affairs as a part of business buzz. Current affairs play an important role in the student life. It will help the students gain knowledge and know the news happening around them. Further students learn presentation skills, developing presentation skills in the classroom is important for improving communication and creating positive learning experiences. Presentation skills are important because they help the presenter:
  1. Communicate complex information in simple and interesting ways to keep the audience engaged
  2. Communicate thoughts and feelings effectively
  3. Develop self-confidence
  4. Gain real-world skills, such as the ability to present accomplishments and skills during a job interview.

BRIDGE COURSE
Bridge courses conducted by the department at the beginning of the academic year to fill-in the chasm that exists between the shared knowledge of students at the entry-level and the course requirements. The objective of the Bridge course is to demystify what is expected of students in degree-level classes and to provide adequate foundation in the core accounting subjects and mathematics limited to moderate level so that students do not face any difficulty when the classes commence.

REMEDIAL CLASSES
Based on the performance in the mid-term examinations, remedial coaching is provided to learners who require help. As a result, even the students below the average are given hopes to build up their career and compete on par with others in the class and also in the portals of higher learning.

MENTORING
Recognizing the need for the present-day college students to have a friend, counsellor and confidante on the campus, class teachers are also act as mentors for their students. The practice is aimed at fostering a better rapport between the students and the teachers at a personal level. Mentors also focus on the overall development of the student during the three years of graduation.

PLACEMENT TRAINING
Pre-placement training programs such as group discussions, mock interviews are conducted by industry professionals for the students of commerce & management organised at department level in addition to programme offered by placement cell of the college. This initiative plays a vital role in paving the way for success in students career planning, training and recruitment.
